Spring
Jim was busy, as usual, so my mom and I took the kids to Hearst Castle for Spring Break. Road Trip!!!
We stopped at some aquarium and the kids loved these huge shells out front…
I have always wanted to stop at Harmony, population 18!!
They have some pretty cool pottery stores…
We saw Nitt Wit Ridge in Cambria. It’s a huge house built by a hermit guy out of shells, toilet seats, tires…it’s so funny!! We missed the tours, though…bummer!!
The kids showed their character at the coffee shop!!
Matt just had to have a mustache!!
On the way up to the castle, we saw rams!! Very rare!!
We went to the night tour, where they have docents dress up in character and wander around.
Along the beaches in this area, it happens to be elephant seal molting season….all the boy seals come here to shed their winter coats while they wait for the ladies to arrive and deliver their pups!! We gotta come back for that season!!
